L’ Athénienne Murat

Tripod vase in red Egyptian porphyry; its central support, a finely wrought gilt-bronze column decorated with stylized acanthus leaves and grapevines; the upper portion, single order, the lower section at the base, double.
Square legs terminate in lion-paw monopodia; stylized acanthus leaves in chased gilt bronze adorn the capitals.
Cylindrical socle in red Egyptian porphyry, capped by and set on finely wrought gilt-bronze discs decorated with stylized acanthus leaves.
